About Lisa Jeffers

I am from a nursing background and currently work as genetic counsellor in the Northern Ireland Regional Genetics Service.

I attended the EANS summer school from 2007-2009 and am now a member of the REFLECTION group.

My PhD was on the psychosocial concern of women with inherited breast and ovarian cancers and I used grounded theory methodology. I am interested in grounded theory but would like to use and become proficient in other methodologies also.

I am keen to work with other nurses to carry out research in my broad areas of interest; cancer, genetics, psychosocial issues and research methodology. I am back in clinical practice full time and want to ensure I continue to develop my research skills and output
